Theme Reveal 2021 – #AtoZChallenge

March 8, 2021

Today is the much awaited Theme Reveal Day for the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge in 2021. I’m very excited to reveal my theme for 2021 and also cannot wait to check out the themes chosen by other bloggers for this year’s challenge. The April A-Z Challenge, requires me to post every day in April, except Sunday, to a chosen theme. Some bloggers choose not to have a theme and that’s ok too.

This year I came close to deciding not to have a theme, but decided that I need the structure of a theme in order to post daily for a month. I have participated in the A to Z Challenge every year since 2015, but not always on this blog. In 2016 I participated on two blogs. I can say that the challenge of posting two posts a day for a month was more stress than anyone needs. I most probably won’t be doing that again.

I really do enjoy this challenge for many reasons. Aside from the discipline it takes to be organised, and post every day, I love the opportunity to connect with other bloggers. These bloggers are blogging on a diverse range of topics, most are vastly different to the blogs that I usually read.

Previous themes that I’ve chosen are My Ancestors, The Places Where my Ancestors Lived and The Story of Me. My theme for 2021 is Newspaper Articles About My Family Found in Trove. I decided on this theme late in 2020 so have had time to do extra research and have a collection of newspaper articles that I’m looking forward to sharing.

Cool theme. Neat that your family has been in the papers enough for an alphabet of posts.
