Grandmama’s Pets 1871

December 1, 2020

I have three beautiful grandson’s who live in Queensland. As I live in Victoria, in a usual year, I would only be lucky enough to see them occasionally, but in this year of Covid-19 with the Queensland borders closed, I haven’t seen them at all.

I feel very fortunate and pleased with myself that I made the decision to visit them last November. It was really lovely to see them and I came home with plans to go back several times during 2020.

And then we were hit with a worldwide pandemic and it wasn’t possible to travel. Hopefully, I will see them at Christmas time or early in the New Year.

While searching Trove, I came across the following beautiful drawing. It brought a tear to my eye, as it reminded me of how much I miss my grandchildren, and my son, their father.
